Problem: Zbrush designates polygroups for multi-mesh inserts depending on the polygroup you start drawing on instead of just having a separate polygroup for each new mesh you insert. Is there a way to disable or tweak this automatic grouping?
Also, I’ve already drawn quite a few inserts and I need to auto group them to be separate but the insert mesh isn’t one contiguous mesh and has floaters that are intersecting itself. Is there any way to auto group these floaters that are intersecting? (it’s a branch with leaf cards) I’ve tried to make a new mesh from live boolean but the floaters become non-manifold geometry and Zbrush doesn’t deal well with that (it collapses/deletes polygons on the leaf cards which I don’t want).
I’d really appreciate finding a technique for this since otherwise I’ll have to mask out individual branches with their attached leaves and that’s very difficult considering how close branches are. Thanks!
