Insert mesh brushes lose their uvs, is there a way to keep them?

Hi all,

Just wondering, if I have several objects that are already unwrapped and I want to use them to populate another object by using them as Insert Mesh brushes, is there a way to keep the uvs on those new subtools created when I drag them onto a new surface? I’d like to reuse the existing uvs and textures on them after they’ve been put on a new surface.

No, you’d have to append them as subtools instead.

Okay, thanks Marcus! Seems a shame. Would be really nice to keep them. Appending them as subtools makes you lose out on the ease of adding them via insert meshes. Pity!
