Insert mesh as actual size?

Is it possible to insert a mesh at its default size?
Example:

Insert a mesh ( diamond ) on a ring. As you see, the diamond cannot be resized. It must stay the same.

Thanks in advance for your expertise! :]

If you hold Ctrl after starting to draw the mesh it will snap to its original size*. Alternatively, after drawing the mesh you can switch to Scale mode and use Transpose to resize it (or move it, or rotate it) - the rest of the mesh will be masked so won’t be affected.

*Correction : zber2 kindly pointed out that holding Ctrl will snap the mesh to the Draw size not original size. Sorry, got that wrong but you can adjust after using Transpose.

Thank you for the post. Adjusting the mesh after will not work due to the fact that the insert mesh needs to be exact as it will be a cut out for a diamond. The size needs to remain static. Do you know of a work around by chance?

Appending I don’t think will work. The main objective is to have the imported mesh remain the actual size, flush to the mesh of the surface. . .

Select the PolyMesh3D tool and then import your diamond model into ZBrush. The Tool>Export sub-palette will have values that will make sure that the diamond is the correct size when exported. If you append your other tools to the diamond everything should be OK.
