Injury Update, May 11, 2002:

Fractured wrist: Healed
Broken finger nail: Glued a new one back on
Missed movie: Saw it later on DVD

All ZB objects & construction. The hair was a painted map on a PLane 3D, fitted to the head in 2 pieces. I later drew in some flay-away hairs.

This is the largest image resolution I have done in ZB so far at 2500 X 1300. Some detail gets lost in the reduction, so here is a full size section. Hope it doesn’t take too long to display.

Why the hell don’t you change your name Ken, so it isn’t so awkward for me to use the word, BRILLIANT:wink:
These characters you’re doing now are not only ‘live’ looking, but also have an extra dimension of reality about them with your clean modelling style, and wonderfully appropriate painting…!
Another Masterpiece from K the B!!
:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

(You should have given her a belly-button piercing though…  )

she a little flat chested but kind of Cute.
she looks as if she going to cry you should whrow a tear drop down from her eye :+1:
good pic ken before the forum loaded i seen the thumb nail and i knew right then and there it was yours good work

I’m with EZ…saw the thumbnail and said “KEN B” gotta be.

She resembles Gwyneth Paltrow! And I like the itty-bitties. The fit her character perfectly. Also love the trailer park blue eyeshadow and all the freckles.

i live near that theatre where are you from?

Sorry but I lost my adjectives dictionary, so no comments!
(Hopefully I have hands and I can write because when I saw that I went speechless!!!)

Very realistic. :+1: :+1: :+1:
Dave

Fantastic o’ master of polygonism! One day perhaps I will approach the level at which you now operate. Of course you’ll be far beyond my reach in another galaxy by then. Always a pleasure to see your work and inspiring to boot! :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

LOVE the jeans!! :+1:

By the way let me just say I absolutely love the way you incorporate real life photo backgrounds into your work! :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :+1:

Love the skin, hair… clothes…oh hell. It’s over all fantastic. So much talent on this forum it’s down right scary.

Gasp! A broken nail! My heart goes out to her! Fabulous work you do

wow, Ken…those eyes, the freckled skin, the hair…the lighting…you make it all work for you …outfrigginstanding :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: Reminds me of Cissy Spacek…ie Carrie…great job

Beautifully done! So believable right down to the make-up. She really looks like she’s fighting back tears…wonderful effect.
I also love the way that you did the clothing and her hair. Superb! :grimacing: :+1:

The amazing detail, minutia of expression on a character, and depth of reality in your scenes is incredible Ken!

incredible. the lady at my favorite bookshop as a young girl. i’ll have to ask her next time if her daughters name is Rebecca  praise & kudos, Ken!!!

She’ll be happy to know that you all like her (you know how important being liked is to young people)

standux444: I used to live in EB NJ, but haven’t for over a decade.

Ron, I was thinking of a Sissy S kind of complextion when working on this.

This is such a good piece! The hair and complexion is fantastic, but I keep staring at the eyebrows… I think I could just touch them they seem so real. All of it seems real and I swear I have seen this girl some place… LOL

I missed this beauty Ken, fantastic image. I agree with Mentat, the way you use the background photos add a special realism to your work that no one else has managed to capture.

Can I ask how you did the hair on this piece? It looks photorealistic in the close up. I love the effect.

Cheers,

Glen
