Inactive subtotal dimming is not working when Live Boolean is active
The highlighted subtotal display stops working with live booleans.
Normally i can see which subtotal is active due to ZBrush dimming the others.
I have tested making a new start group to see if that helps but it gave no joy.
If i turn OFF live boolean, then all subtotals dim as normal again.
Do i have a bug, problem here? is this the way its supposed to be now with 4r8 P1?
Inactive Subtool Dimming works with Live Boolean. You can adjust it by changing the Preferences>Edit>Inactive Subtool Dimming slider. A lower value will give a darker subtool.
What doesn’t work is having Transparent or Ghost on. There may be technical reasons for this but also it doesn’t really make sense as you wouldn’t be able to accurately judge the boolean result.
Is this what you are seeing?
Hej Marcus. No this is not what i see BUT on exploration of 4R8 and installations i DO SEE…
Do not use the updater.
I might well have used this function and i could not find an uninstaller either.
This might be the culprit and i am during the process of deleting and reinstalling just now.
Okay so just fresh installed 4R8p1 and when live boolean is active and a subtotal has been marked as subtractive…
i still get no inactive subtotal dimming.
After your last post this sounds like support ticket stuff.
Edit: no matter, I can confirm I get the same problem.
I had to leave the computer but its the virgin screen from instalation with no personal changes.
ghost and transparency not on.
will add a screen shot as soon as i possibly can. Perhaps an hour or so.
