I created a cube base mesh and UV’s outside of ZBrush. Now I want to import the mesh into ZBrush to sculpt on it. I will then create my Disp. map in ZBrush.
My questions are:
How to Get UV’s into ZBrush
I created UV’s outside of ZBrush and exported the .obj. If I import the .obj I created outside of ZBrush into ZBrush will the UV’s come in automatically with the mesh or do I need to somehow import my UV’s? I ask because when I imported the .obj into ZBrush and went to (Tools > UV Map) the map size said 2048 x 2048 and my UV map was only 1024 x 1024.
Do I need to Recreate my UV’s after Sculpting
If I increase the subdivisions and sculpt on the cube base mesh in ZBrush (deforming it a lot) do I need to update or recreate my UV’s so they don’t Stretch or will they still be ok?
Do I need to Export the Mesh as an .obj
After my imported Cube is sculpted it looks like a sphere, so now I will lower my subdivision level to it’s lowest level and create the disp. map but do I need to export out the sphere at it’s lowest subdivision level as an .obj or do I just apply the displacement map to the original cube I imported?
Resetting View
I imported a cube object and then I sculpted it, but now I don’t know which is the front or back of the cube . Is there a way to reset the view of the object so it is in the same position as when you imported it?
