Importing uv maps for a mesh?

Hello.

I’m trying to load uv maps (etc.) from c4d onto my mesh in zbrush, but I’m doing something wrong?
What’s the proper workflow?

wow…Yes, you’re doing everything wrong.

export subD level 1
import to c4d
unwrap
export
select subtool and go to level 1 again
tool.import

Then basically I’m laying out uvs in zbrush first and zbrush won’t accept uvs from another app, correct?
So I can only begin with a mesh with no uvs from c4d?

That doesn’t seem right. (Unless I’m missing something. Obviously I am).

No, not at all. If your object is unwrapped in any other application already, Zbrush will take in the UVs during import of the obj.
