importing obj from an ARTEC SCANNER

Hi,

I would know if it’s possible to import a mesh + texture included at Zbrush coming from Artec Studio.
I know there is a possibility to import an obj ‘mesh’ at zbrush but i would like to know if you can import mesh with texture.
That would be easy to modify the texture ( as a 3d image arround the mesh) in Zbrush because there zbrush has a clonestamp who need to be easier than stamp a 2d jpeg image texture separately in Photoshop.

Is there anyone who has experience with Artec and Zbrush ?

Kind Regards,

Dries.

Do you have the scanner or considering getting one? Which model?

PM me with more details and I can point you in the right direction. And to answer the question yes the texture from the scans can be pulled into Zbrush. However it really depends on what you’re trying to achieve and what your limits are (hardware, software, budget, etc.) as to setup a proper pipeline.

Hi,

I wonder if you could help me to with this too.
I have an Artec scanner and have just purchased ZBrush but I am struggling to import the texture map. I have imported the obj model and I read online how to import a texture map, but when I follow these steps, the map is still in broken up segments (like how you view the jpg file) and hasn’t matched itself up correctly.

Please can you advise me on this.

Thank you

You probably need to flip the map vertically.

That’s great, thanks very much!!
