Importing meshes after working on the file never lines up.

I am having issues importing objects after working on a mesh. It appears after I work on the file the transformation is messed up when I import anything new. The newly imported mesh is moved over from the mesh I have been working on. If I start a new file everything lines up perfectly. Any reason for this?

It appears if I export the mesh I am working on then reimport to a new file everything lines up again.

how are you importing and exporting your objects?
If scale is important I find it is best to start with a sphere3D and append all of your meshes into that using subtool master.

I found this about Export options. It can be offset while exporting… http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/tool/polymesh/export/

I am just importing one mesh pushing t then duplicating the same layer and importing again. That process worked fine.
My issue occurred hours later when I worked on the meshes and decided to import a new object in. That object came in slightly offset. Since I didn’t need any lower subdiv I exported the meshes out and then started a new file which everything I imported in was in the correct location.

Thanks, I saw that but the location is correct if I export. I started a new file and re-imported the mesh I was working on and then imported the new mesh that wasn’t lining up. After importing both everything lined up fine.

If you haven’t found the Axis plug-in, it’s quite useful and recommended. Easily found and easy to install.
