importing 2 separate objs

Hey Guys, first time posting! I’m working on a sculpt of a dragon for a piece of jewelry and it has to fit around a specific, oddly-shaped stone. I have the mounting for the stone and a rough body blocked out for the dragon in Matrix. I exported the dragon as an obj and have been working on it in zbrush and occasionally throwing it back into matrix, but as I sculpt in zbrush it gets farther and farther away from the shape and layout I need it to be.

Here is my actual question! Is there a way for me to import both the mounting AND the dragon body as separate pieces that stay separate but can be viewed at the same time (and maybe a way to hide/show the mounting). I’m sure there’s a simple solution but I’m pretty new to zbrush and I can’t figure it out! The farthest I’ve gotten is having them both in the tools menu but I can’t figure out how to get them to show up at the same time or orient to each other the way I have them placed in my other program for that matter.

I appreciate any help!

Yup, this is what Subtoolsare for. If you have both in the Tool menu, you can just select one (doesn’t matter which), then open its Tool: Subtool menu to Insert/Append the other.

Alternatively if you load the OBJ using the Subtool Master plugin then it can import and append the second obj file automatically.
