Import Texture

I want to paint a texture on a tool as a decal. So I import the tool as an OBJ, draw on the canvas, switch to edit mode, and divide 4 times. Then I import the alpha and the texture. My texture is contorted and I don’t know why. I’ve tried increasing the resolution in increments from 256 x 256 to 2048 x 2048 to no avail.

I’ve uploaded an image of the tray where my alpha and texture exist so you can see what is happening. Why is my texture contorted? I had the same problem with the alpha when it was 128 x 128. I increased it to 256 x 256 and the problem was resolved. But no matter what the resolution is of the texture, it is contorted when I import it as a texture. I’m using Vista 64-bit, but I’m using the 32 bit version of ZBrush.
