Import Morph Target

I made a model in Maya and exported it as an OBJ. I worked on the model in ZBrush and took it up to 17+ million polys. I want to make a Normal Map to import back into Maya.

The problem is that I forgot to save a Morph Target when I first started working on the model. I do have the original untouched OBJ though. Can I import the Morph Target onto my high res model from the original OBJ? I just need the UV’s from the original model in the Morph Target on the high res model so my Normal Map will not be messed up when I import it back into Maya.

I will never forget to store a Morph Target again. :frowning:

Go to level 1. Store a morph target. Then press Tool>Import and load your original model again.

Now you can use Tool>Morph Target>Switch to toggle between the original state and the multi-res state, just as if you’d stored a morph target to begin with.

Thank you aurick.

Hi! can someone please help me? I’ve had the same issue as System, but when I store a morph target and press Tool>Import and load my original model it reset the morph target tool (e.g. it only highlights the “Store MT” button again) and it erases the model I’ve been working on. Am I missing a step?
