Import maps from max - noob issue

Hi everyone,
I’ve created a head in zbrush and polypainted it. I’ve got already textured eyes in max that I want to import. The eye objects imported fine. However, when I import the eye maps the image is repeated across every polygon instead of once across the object. I’m sure it’s a simple thing to fix, but I’ve tried everything I can think of and searched in vain. I’m running out of time, so help would be appreciated. Images attached to illustrate my point. Thanks

how is your mesh unwrapped? how many UV sets are you using? Did you export out texture data in the obj? Did you use goZ? Did you collapse your stack?

My fundamental understanding of texturing is pretty poor - I don’t often need to use it. In max, I applied a UVW unwrap modifier and collapsed the stack, then exported to obj, exporting with texture (see image). I just imported using the import tool option in zbrush and import texture options. Not sure how else to attack it. Help appreciated.

You should be using goz instead. Simplifies the whole process to a single click.
The object exporter also has a preset for zbrush…not sure if it works though.

Thanks, beta_channel. I spent the wee hours of the morning trying to do that, but GoZ doesn’t seem to import the textures either. I’m searching for documentation now. Uber-frustrating, because I know it should be so simple.
