Ok, I KNOW this has surely been dealt with before, and I’m just missing it or not doing the right searches to bring up the needed results, but since I’m not finding what I need, here goes…
I regularly build models that are add on’s for existing models in my company’s catalog. If I import a model, build on top of it and save out obj’s and textures without closing zbrush, my scales are all good. However, if I save a ztl of that work, close and reopen Zbrush then load that ztl file to continue working, the scale of everything in the file is increased to about twice that of the original model. It’s hard to catch this, too, since loading the ztl, everything looks fine unless I export it and check it against the original in Maya, or import a copy of the original into a new subtool, where it will show the scale issue plainly.
While I have found some workarounds for this, it is an incredibly irritating problem to have to deal with as often as I do. If there is a setting I’m missing, a plugin I need (as was the case years ago for Poser developers) or some fix I"m just not getting, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know ASAP so I can stop wasting time on this. Thanks!
