Window 7, Zbrush 64 bit.
Load the demo head, edit mode (tried other heads)
Import a few texture images.
Select front in the texture window.
In image plane, store front view…nothing. Texture disappears from the texture window but…
No matter what I do, no matter what image, cannot get image to load. Head disappears but reappears when I press frame
As a side result of this if I adjust the model opacity, just get degrees of black.
Must confess haven’t used this in awhile.
Just when it is important…
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thank you.
After I posted this, went back to zbrush and tried tool imageplane x.
I had used the prototype to create the images.
When I loaded the tool (image planex) all I got was a thin black line.

I did a tutorial on setting up reference images in Image Plane a while back. You can find it here.
Zbrush also now has the Grid feature for reference images.

Thank you zber for your reply, truly appreciate it.
Also belated thanks for the comprehensive tutorial.
Have followed your instructions over and over for about two hours nothing. Same problem.
Einstein would have frowned on me.
In any case thank you
There is a tutorial here for all ways to set references in Zbrush. It is covered in the first chapters.
I personally would try the reference grid system. It is quite good and the only reason to don’t use it is when we have references that doesn’t fit in a orthogonal system. But it seems your references are orthogonal.
Thank you althea, in one of the movies in 3 minutes confirmed that there is something wrong with my program.
If you only stay with one view, one image, something should load, does not.
Will email support
In the first 120 seconds of this movie knew there was a problem.
