Hi there… after using ZB3.1 at work for so long I want to get a personal copy for home and private “freelance” projects. So If I buy 3.1 for PC… will I also get the update to version 4 when it comes out or should I wait?

You will receive 3.5 as a free upgrade when it’s released for the PC here before the end of the month, and a second free upgrade to 4 when it’s released by year’s end.
This is explicitly spelled out in the ZBrush 3.5 Announcement.
