I want my monster to loose his sense of smell !

First off i’d like to say hello !

I’ve been searching for a tutorial on how to remove the nose from a model (in this case the included male head mesh), but can’t seem to find any way of doing this…

I basically want a smooth surface where the nose used to be, a bit like majyn boo from Dragon ball (only reference which comes to mind).

Holding Shift while in Edit mode will enable the Smooth tool.

OK… but when i do that, i get two small artifacts where nostrils used to be.

Anyway i could avoid this and have a uniformly smooth surface ?

Dustin is right, that’s the easiest way to get rid of it quickly. As for those artifacts, there’s not really any way to get rid of them because you have pulls there in your topology, meaning you have more than four edges meeting the vert. To get rid of them completely you would have to simply model it without the nose. But if you’ve already done quite a bit of sculpting you don’t want to redo, then I suggest hiding or disguising them within the details you produce. Good luck!

Ok thanks for the help and I guess I’ll have to model from nothing. By the by, totaly random but why do my posts take so long to appear after i’ve written them ?
