Hey I just finished my zbrush model and used decimator to lower the poly count to maya wouldn’t freeze on me. I plan to use the nex plugin in order to make the game model but I only want to model 1/2 of the model…do any of you know of a tool in maya or zbrush that will split my model in half?
you can split the model before the decimation…or post actually.
hide half of your geometry, then go to tool>geometry>slit hidden (can only be used at the lowest subD level).
after you split the mesh simply export out the half you want to retopo.
