I forgot how to use the brushes to project the background image onto my models

I know about the lightbox method. I’m wanting to use the old fashioned way of doing this simple trick for a reason, and I just can’t remember how to do it anymore…

Here’s the method with me not remembering the last part.

Click on imageplane- load image into the background.

Place model in the scene

Use one of the brushes to paint the background image onto the surface of the model.

I can’t sort it out, and I feel like an idiot. I know how to do it with lightbox, but I need this old school method for a reason.

Hello @Charles_Roberts ,

The documentation explains the various ways to work with reference in ZBrush, and how to set up reference views with Image Plane:

http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/3d-modeling/reference-images/

Good luck! :slightly_smiling_face:
