i cant make fingers for my hands using zsketch?

[11-9-2009-9-27-58-PM.jpg]

it always makes like mittens instead…any ideas? ive turned up the resolution and then i end up with smoething that looks just like my zsketch…is there a tolerance or something so i can have fingers if i wanted?

Possible solutions:

  • Turn up mesh resolution on the Unified skin subpallet and see if that helps
  • Splay the fingers apart when sketching and then repose them with transpose tools after the mesh is generated
  • Use adaptive skins (though you will also want to splay the fingers apart–the smoothing antilogarithms can’t really read your mind when it comes to which spheres you would like it to web over and which you’d like to keep separate.) There are advanced techniques with “proximity tolerance” you can use to “hint” the adaptive skinning algorithm, but in general these can be more trouble than their worth.
