Awesome job,

The roman soldier looks like the ones in Asterix

Would it be too much to ask you about your workflow to get such a clean chain mail?

Thanks in advance!

The workflow for your top notch chain mail would be interesting indeed!

I like him a lot, very cool and creepy! The detail is very nice.

No problem, what would you like to know ?

Super…

First question that comes to my mind, is it just planes with disp and transparency or does it have volume?

I just can’t guess it. It seems to me that you did just the borders of the backface polygons, am I right?

A 4-5 steps summary would work aswell

Thanks!

I found all you are asking for on a forum ZBrush Centrum. I’m attaching you the tutorial I found and was very useful.

I hope this is what you were looking for.

I had seen Geert beta testing post before, but your result is so clean and it also has transparency.

Does an opacity map work well with a version of the alpha edited using levels to adjust contrast more like a 2bit image?

Thank you very much, I’m pretty sure I can walk the way alone from here

Well, I believe it does work well but I’m not sure. Just have to try few things as I did :).

next work
