Human skull sculpt.

Hello, like to share my sculpt I sarted last night. I started the mesh with Zsphears, very basic mesh with loops for eyes and nose. I used the tweak tool to get the overal shape, then exported this mesh into Hexagon for refining.

I corrected symmetry which was lost at some point in ZB, then added some extra geometry for the cheek bone. This was a simply extruded from cheek to the side of skull. Once this was done I refined the shape more, and started to work though each Sub-D level till I got the detail I wanted.

Finnaly I used the matcap Skelligton, then hand painted it in Zbrush. Made some adjustments in ZB for the contrast and brightness.

Thanks.

Thanks for posting all the detailed information.

I have a question, is this supposed to be a realistic or cartoonish skull?

Well its created off real skull refferences, so real as in anatmy and proportion, if you feel it is unrealistic regarding this, then feel free to point out some areas.

On the other hand if you mean real as regarding the render, then it cant be real enougth for you to not tell the difference, in which case its where I intended it to be, somwhere close to real but not photo real. I never intended it to be cartoonish.

Either way thanks for your observations.

skull large v5.2 thunb.jpg Here is a update. Got some more refferences that shows anatomy more consistant so made some changes, including adding fine detail.
