Human Low-Poly Mesh

Hi folks!
Well… I have a question…
I’m not very good on modelling with 3dsmax/maya and I don’t want to start detailing human mesh using the (already detailed!) mesh provided by Zbrush3… I just want to start from a human base mesh that, unfortunately, I’m not able to create with other 3d programs…
Question is: where can I find for free human low poly mesh like this one? :o

Thx so much!

See ya!

Well you can always contruct one with zSpheres, that’s what they are there for.

Some apps also have human primitives like i know XSI has one. Or get something like DAZ Studio which is free and comes with human forms.

Also you could check this out, though i’m not sure if it’s low poly enough or not, and it does seem to require blender:

thx so much for reply!

another option might be to take the provided hires mesh included with
zbrush3, and just practice your retopo skills (follow a couple of tutorials
on the wiki or here in the tutorials forum) to get the lowpoly version
you want. You’ll learn a new (quite handy) skill, and get exactly what
you’re after to your own custom needs.

good luck!

Hey thats from the Zack Petroc video, its excellent. Also wanted to point out there is a program open source that generates humans you might wanna try that route. But honestly that mesh is extermely simple should take you a day or two to build it, if you dont have a good polymodeler at hand download wings, if you have maya or max there ya go. I am not at home right but I will post the name of the app later.

Thx so much mates!

you can download that base mesh for free at gnomonology.com

sorry for the delay I totally forgot this thread ever existed, do a search on google for “makehuman open source”
