Human Ecoche

Hi

I am doing some anatomy studies of a human.
I plan to do everything from bone to skin.
All feedback is welcome!

hey!

it’s a nice start, but there is a lot of things to fix. (sorry, don’t mean to sound to harsh).
i’m no anatomy expert myself, so all this is just my own opinions.
your 2 renders looks better than the full figure, but here is my 2 cents:

take another look at the facial features. try imagine the skin on top of your skeletal structure.
the jaw seems to be too far out. the zygomatic arch and cheek seems off aswell, which makes the head look out of balance.

the ribcage seems to big, compared to the rest of your model. i’d say you should take another look at the arching of the ribcage as a whole.

humerus bone, needs some tweaking. yours curve too much.
your radius and alna (-mostly the radius) should have a more subtle s-curve, from end to end.
wrist bones, could also a little shape tuning.

pelvis bone seem to ā€œsteepā€ (-could be the camera angle). check size and mass compared to ribcage.

knee seems a bit big aswell. -i’m not too sure on that one.

the gap between fibula and tibia, seems too big too.

think that was more less all of it.
i’d really encourage you to try make a ā€œmuscle/skinā€ paint over in photoshop, to check your forms. i’m sure you will find things to fix.
also try find refs from real skeleton models, instead of other artist 3d models. that way you can hopefully avoid making their mistakes too.
hope it was to some help.

Actually the full figure is just a basemesh. Probably should have been more clear about that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you talking about the ulna, radius and humerus on the image of the full figure or the image of the arm?

I’ll check the knee again. You’re probably right, didn’t do much research on that one.

I guess you are talking about the Fibula and tibia of the full figure. If so I definitely agree. I have made some big changes if you look at the image of the leg bones. If you still think the gab is too big, please let me know.

Great idea about making a paintover in photoshop! I should do that for sure!
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciated.

all comments where based on the full figure. it’s kinda hard to judge the close-ups, but they do look better, i think.

good luck.
