that is a really cool print:+1:

Perfect work!!! and thanks for sharing that amazing making of about this model in 3dtotal!!!

ooooh ! really i like to have this one !

I want one man!!!
AbraƧo!

Fabbi you rat, you’re getting a billion dollar 3D print… :grimacing:

Ok i’m almost jealous at this point!!!

Tell us what you think when you get it in person.

Hey Rem, I’ve been watching the 3D print world for about 5 years… and it seems there ARE printers that can print super fine detail, but they are cost prohibitive at this point. Jewelers are using them right now, over $100 for under an inch printed…!!

I got another set of samples a few months back and they are still good, just not zbrush level yet. Give it at least another year

That being said, 3D Systems conference is coming up at the end of Oct in SC, I wish I could make it, but they might make some announcements there!

The loss on this statue was caused by an error on the printer head. Because Offload needed a statue for a photoshooting to produce a book for siggraph, and time was very tight, they had to use it. But they produced another one for the show, much more clean and cool (i’m going to get the revised version).

but yeah, it’s not perfect. Zbrush quality is still far from our reality since it’s too damn expensive/or the technology don’t even exist. But hey, one year ago it was even harder to see things like these… i can’t wait for the what’s coming in the future. Maybe we’ll be able to print those at home in full quality.

And if you’re impressed by this statue, you gotta see the monumental version being printed for the Pixologic’s offices in LA. The main figure is 43cm/17" high ALONE, imagine it with the base ;D

you lucky, lucky bastard!

Fala ae Fabricio! Every time i enter in this thread i get angry with you hahah
Awesome man!

AbraƧo! C cuida!

Damn. That makes me sick. I agree with iatriki.
Seeing what you created mass produced as a statue must give you a really warm fuzzy feeling inside. Damn. Hahahaha.

lol, thanks (i think, hah)

Just to make it clear, it’s not being ā€œmass producedā€. I won’t sell these, nor i’m making any profit since it’s NOT licensed and I CAN’T, or WON’T, sell it

From top to the botton:

  • Huge Hulk: for Pixologic’s office in LA (how about becoming a beta after that uh? Anyone? Hello? :D)
  • Medium Hulk: That was produced for Siggraph and it’s mine, but i’m waiting to get into Canada first (I hope to move there in a couple of months)
  • Small Hulk: That is a 3" statue produced to test the machine into small scales. It’s cool, but lost a lot of details. I received this one as a gift from Offload. It’s in my house (see the picture below)
  • Tiny mini little Hulk: even smaller, lost about all details. Remember folks, when producing a file to tiny measures, make the details HUGE, or they won’t appear at all

Thanks for replying

btw, Grassetti, did you get your print from the Rhino bust?little_hulk.jpg

hahah nice man…

yes i get it, its small but it have some nice details, i ll take a pic and show you!

cheers!

hell yeah those last pics are awesome man  !
By the way, my print of Abe is coming soon hope it looks as badass as yours. mine will be with color tho :stuck_out_tongue: .
hey, i guess you become more and more impatient to arrive in canada. Why does it take so long to get your visa man ?

Bad luck i guess…

First they asked me about a degree in ā€œcomputer scienceā€ and i’m graduated in graphic design… then they asked me to prove my skills in zbrush, mudbox and xsi. I had to ask for recommendation letters to my ex-employers and make a printed portfolio with lots and lots of works (what took a long time to prepare/arrange).

Then they asked for medical exams and the licensed doctor is VERY far from my house and I had to make a LOT of exams. The results took a week to be ready for delivery to… TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO!!!

It seems that they check the medical exams there and then forward the results to the embassy in Brazil…

Damn, that’s a lot of bureaucracy…

waow yeah, i didn’t expect so much verification. Things were actually much easier coming from europe. anyways, i really hope that everything will be fine :+1: .

Yeah, that happens when you’re coming from a third world country, haha

hahaha exactly!

hey Nicolas, cant wait to see yours printed man!!

i’ll second that

did you used offload as well?

yeah Offload as well  really looking forward to see how it looks . will be a 10" size.

you are a monster. good work
