Huge bug - my object is gone off to the middle of nowhere, when I'm retopologizing it

I imported my object to be retopologized, when I went to bind mesh, then edit topology, there was a vert sitting in the middle of the screen, so I deleted it so I could start fresh, but instead my object vanished and I was left with nothing but that vert.

When I frame the object it just goes to that vert, I once found my object floating in space, but I hit frame and lost it again forever.

Things that don’t fix it:

Exporting the object and reimporting it
Restarting Zbrush
Saving and loading the Ztool

And when I redraw my object it veers off the center, same with when I scale it or move the camera, it’s as if there’s a permanent vert stuck somewhere in Africa that it’s trying to focus on also.

If it’s some stray geometry, select the object and use ctrl-shift to drag a green marquee around just what you want to keep.

Go to the geometry subpallet of the tool pallet and hit “Del hidden”. This should delete anything except what the Marquee covered. If this fixes it, then you definitely have a stray point somehow . . .

(this may break your mesh if the stray point was somehow pulled out of the mesh–the best fix for this will be to use retopo tools to close the hole.)

Thanks for trying to help but… did you even read my post?

It is a stray point from when i’m already retopologizing the mesh, a stray undeletable point.

I’ll let someone else help you.
