how to use Zskitch with an object

hello everybody

i was watching some tutorials describing the use of the amazing zskitch, but they all use zskitch on an object was made by zsphere, i mean if i have an object “for examply a human body” which was imported into zbrush and wasn’t made by zsphere, when i try to use zskitch, it doesn’t work bcz it wants me to use an object was made by zsphere.

so how can i use zskitch on an aboject imported into zbrush or even a tool from zbrush but wasn’t made by zsphere.

one more question, how can i make very thin hair such as eyebrow

last question, how can i change the background color in zbrush “the background where the tools and object are set”

sorry for my many question but i would be thankful for any help

Hi, some answers.

  1. Go to your subtool palette. Click the Append button. Append a Zsphere to your model. Then hit Ctrl+A and start sketching (make sure you’re in “Draw” mode to start sketching. Press “A” to preview your sketch as you create. When you are happy with what you’ve created, create a skin! You can get the best immediate results within the unified skin menu, simply adjust the sliders there to your taste, then hit “make unified skin”. You can now select the Unified Skin that you just created by browsing for it in the Tool menu. Once selected simply begin sculpting directly onto it, or even add it to the model that you base it on by appending that skin as a subtool. Save it, sculpt directly on it, append more zspheres to it, skin them, sculpt on them, forget about reality for awhile.

  2. Choose the “Slash 2” brush. Before you draw the eyebrow, go to the Alpha menu up top. Look for the Alpha Adjust. Open it by clicking it. Then drag the top “middlemost” point inward to the left two squares. Next, drag the bottom “middlemost” point left two squares. Adjust your zdepth of your Slash 2 brush to a low value and draw in the thin hair strokes. Press “Alt” on your keyboard to depress areas where indentions are using the same brush.

  3. To change the background color of your main document, open the document menu and click “Range” and drag the slider over to the left. This will move the horizon line to nonvisible, creating a solid background color. If you are asking how to change the background menu color then you will open Preferences then Icolors and adjust each color according to your preference.
