How to use InsertHCylinder?

Hello, I’m currently working through a tutorial about blending two meshes together. I have run into a problem and my original mesh gets warped. I have attached a before and after of the problem I am having. Thank you for the help.

INSERTMESH with a open edge mean the open edge with try to find a polygroup it “touched”, and only remesh this polygroup to match the open edge without affect the whole mesh. you should create a small polygroup where the place the “half cylinder” will be placed on first. (mask somewhere and press CRTL+W).

Oh my god, you are the man! Thank you so much. The tutorial I’m working through is using polygroups that are so close in color, I couldnt tell from the video that there was actually a smaller polygroup within the larger one. Thanks again!!
