How to select desired subtools from a lot for transpose master

Say if i have a scene with a house, man and dog and some environment,and i want to translate(move) the dog model which is composed of 4 subtools from a place to another in my scene and also change its pose with tpose-master,how do i select only those particular subtools for tposing

Transpose Master works on the visible subtools, so just turn off the eye icon for those parts of your scene you don’t want to move or pose. The quickest way of doing this may be to turn off all subtools by clicking the eye icon of the selected subtool, then click the eye icons for the other subtools you want on. (The selected subtool is always treated as ‘on’ by Transpose Master whether the icon is on or off.)

actually i was reeling on this so much that y’d the solution struck in my dream and when i woke up and opened the forum you posted the same solution i was so …,i dont know the word to describe that feeling.

now i want to know if there is a way to group some subtools to act as single subtool like we group layers of photoshop.and move or edit them as subtool but yet they are individual subtools this is important to me as i want to assign texture and displacement maps to each of them and hence have to keep them unmerged.

Save a backup of your file, delete all but the subtools that comprise your (we’ll say dog). Save that as dog.ztl, and as a project if you like. You can manage that one better alone and load it into your project. HTH

Thanks, I’m glad I could help.

There’s no way to do what you want unless you use Transpose Master (which will help pose or move the different models) or do as Doug suggests and split your scene into separate models and save as ZTLs (Tool>Save As). If you are going to assemble your scene in another program then that shouldn’t be a problem.
