how to model for 3d print ?

what r the point should keep in mind while modeling for 3d print. i attached a pic. can any body tell me what r the point should kept while modeling. thank u

I’m really not sure what you’re asking here.

For good .stl output you need to create a mesh that is as clean as possible. Think about scale when modelling as you will need to create wall thicknesses that can actually be manufactured!

Your final mesh should be free from the following:
degenerate faces.
extremely short edges.
non manifold edges.
naked edges.
duplicate faces.
faces with directions different from the mesh as a whole.
self intersecting faces.
disjoint pieces.
unused vertices.

There are free programmes available to check your .stl output. These include “Mini Magics” by Materialise and Netfabb Studio Basic 4.9. Studio Basic is a very nice little freebie and will do some automatic fixes for you providing they are not to complex!!!
