Hi Hydra! One thing I noticed is that although the sockets are shaped nicely there isn’t much depth to them. So what happens is that when you try to scale the eyeball up to fill the socket it will suddenly start popping out through the eyelids. Try making the socket deeper. Use ZSub for this. Then when you are manipulating the socket you can pull the eyelids out and down just a little farther. That will help you fit a large eyeball in the socket. Also put the eyes on a seperate layer from the head. That way you can enlarge the eyeball and if a little bit of it pokes out of the eye lid you can erase that part without destroying the head. As far as pixelization goes what I see is a mesh that is in need of a polygon boost. You can use TOOLS>MODIFIERS>DIVIDE to increase the polygon count int the head then mask off the areas you wan to smooth out, invert the mask so those areas appear white then use TOOLS>MODIFIERS>SMOOTH and that should do the trick.
thanks for the explanation about the eye sockets.
the model is pxely because i forgot to put the smooth buttons on…my problem is not with the masking and divide…i mean that the resolution of my whole pic is really bad even if its higher then 1024x768
The outlines of my model (where it meets the black canvas)
the outlines may have something to do with the antialiasing…and you are using best render?
Even with Best Render, you are going to get some aliasing. The “pros” usually create an image with a canvas size of 2-3 times what is planned for the final image, then resize the final render down in Photoshop. This cleans the pic up nicely when it comes time to show off the fruits of your labors.
not perfect yet but better
thank U very much guys
They seem to fit much better now! Althought the eye on my right seems to be looking in a different direction from the eye on my left. Perhaps it is a lazy eye?
Just keep at it, Hydra. Believe me, one day it will just hit you like a ton of bricks, and your pictures will never be the same again. You’ve already made a vast improvement from picture 1.
activate the Gyro in scale Mode instead of scaling it try and put your curser on the Gyro to make it more flatten behind the eye OR make the eye more oblong like a egg and turn it side ways in the eye socket
