How to make GoZ detect 3ds max?

I’m trying to make GoZ work with max 2013, but I can’t find how to do it.

The problem is that zbrush seems to be unable to detect that I have max installed, so I can’t even install it. I’ve went to force reinstall options inside preferences, but there it only tries to find Photoshop and Sculptris, and I have no idea how to tell zbrush to search max.

Can anybody help me with that?

In ‘Preferences > GoZ’, click ’ Path To 3D Studio Max’. If it can’t find it on it’s own, then it will give you an option to Browse for it. Find the 3D Studio Max executable. If it still doesn’t work, then maybe GoZ for Max is not compatible with Max 2013.

Thanks for the reply. The problem I had was that 3ds max wasn’t on the list (nor maya, or lightwave, or xsi… I only had photshop and sculptris) and I couldn’t browse the path for it. I had to uninstall Zbrush and reinstall it again, and then it worked well, GoZ had all the options avaliable and I could set the path for max. Not sure if this will be the reason, but I installed it inside “Program Files” instead of “Program Files x86” where it was before.

Hello,

I have just experienced a similar problem, where I wanted GoZ to go to Photoshop which would not work and kept sending me to the 3D programme Carrara Pro that I use for basic modeling. After several forced installations of GoZ and tickets raised with Support, I was told that the ‘R’ tab near the GoZ button towards the top of the tools pallete should be clicked and that the path to the selected prgramme clicked.

This finally worked.

I hope this is of some help.
