How to keep zspheres in place? (Solved)

I’ve tried out zspheres and one problem that I’ve run into is that kinda like inverse kinematics, when I try pulling out a zsphere from a hand to form a finger for example, it pulls the whole hand including lower arm. This is incredibly annoying because I have to constantly pull my character into a mess and then put it all back into position again. Is there a key i can hold to have the stuff stay in place and just let me pull out a zsphere into an arm, finger or what have you? I looked at tutorials and tried googling it with different phrasings but I can’t find a solution to this.
