I’d like to install these matcaps that I downloaded.
Also how can I permanantly keep some alphas in the alpha paletee.

place them in the correct folder inside Zstartup
Actually, you don’t necessarily want to put them in the ZBrush 4\ZStartup\Materials folder. No more than 25 of any particular ZStartup item should be installed – only those that you know you’ll be using constantly.
Any more than that will result in performance issues and likely display errors.
The rest of your downloaded materials can go in the ZBrush 4\ZMaterials folder. That way LightBox will see them automatically and you can easily browse thumbnails of them before loading the one you want into ZBrush.
