How To Hide Background Polygroups When HD Sculpting?

Hi. Sorry if this was in the literature somewhere.

I hide the polygroups I want to work with, then invert the polygroup visibility. I move the mouse cursor over the visible model and hit the ‘A’ hotkey to start-up my HD sculpting. The effect is that all hidden polygroups are now visible, but in an inactive layer. Is it possible to toggle the visibility of this inactive layer while in HD mode? If so, how?

Actually, what’s happening is that HD sculpting always shows the non-HD parts of the mesh so that you can make sure your details line up. This does not affect performance. There is not currently a way to disable this. At least, none that I’m aware of.

Thanks aurick, good to know.

I’m sculpting an arachnid-thing and the legs keep getting in the way. It would be handy to have a slider that controlled the opacity of the ‘ghost’ transparency.
