How to get mesh deformation from a black/white bump map ?

Hello everyone,

I created my texture map with from polypainting.
I made my texture map black/white so I can use it as bump map.

But additional, I would like to load this bump map into zbrush and deform my high res mesh with that bump map.

So I can create from the final mesh a displacment map.

Is there any way, feature and tutorial out there that tells me how I can do that ?

thank you so much

What you can do is import the bump map into the Alpha palette. Select your SubTool that has the matching UV coordinates and then press Tool>Masking>Mask by Alpha. From there you can use a deformation such as Inflate or you can sculpt through the mask. Which will give the best results depends on the nature of what you’re doing.
