For those of you that are freelance artists whom use ZBrush in your freelance work, I have a question. I’ve been using ZBrush for about a year and I feel like I’m ready to take on some freelance projects (small ones at least), but I’m not sure how freelancers find out about freelance opportunities. Graphic designers have entire websites dedicated to freelance work, but the only thing I’ve found for 3D artists is the JOBS sections on various forums (ZBC included), which, lets face it, can often times be slim pickins. Is there a resource of freelance opportunities that anyone can access, or is it one of those “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know” situations?
I feel I may come off a little naive even asking, because this is people’s bread and butter we’re talking about here. It seems unlikely anyone is going to divulge how they get work. Still, I feel compelled to ask, because I haven’t a clue.
