How to extrude a single plane mesh without losing its subdivisions?

Hello everyone,

So I am sculpting a skull mask, and stupidly at the begining of the project I deleted all the polygroups and stayed only with a single plane to sculpt.

Now I need to give some depth to the mask but I’m not achieving any solution.
I already tried to:

  • Morph target; Store Mt -> Inflate (with the value of 2 which would be perfect) -> Morph target, Create Diff MImport the tool created, tried to make a dynamesh so I can start subdivide but it messes all my sculpt…

What would you do?
Is it possible to extrude without losing divisions?

ZModeler brush, should be something there :wink:

I’m using 4R6 version…
