how to export uvs from zbrush to max?

hi

i’ ve exported my mesh from zbrush to max, but after importing in max my uvs haven’t been saved.
is there a way to export my uvs separatly. the *.obj format should save my uvs, but it doesn’t save it.
this sucks, especially when u used guv tiles and need the uvs.

thx

The default export settings for ZBrush do include any UV mapping that has been assigned to the model. If your model comes into Max without mapping, then it is either a Max setting that stripped the UV’s out or your model didn’t have UV’s to begin with.

How are you assigning the mapping in ZBrush?

Also, are you sure it’s a matter of missing UV’s, rather than simply needing to flip the texture vertically so that it renders correctly in Max?

i did my uvs in max> no importing problems in zbrush.
the uvs aren’t missing, but it looks like a front view planar mapping after importing in max from zb.

i didn’t check texture on the zbrush tool/export dialog, now it works.
i don’t understand why i got to check texture……, but it works.

thx anyway

hello,

Have you checked to see if you have flipped / reversed the v channel of the mapping? it always comes in backwards in my 3d max.
