Hi, I just started using Zbrush and I have a question, do I manually need do set up UVs for this to work?
Basically I am doing this:
Without any UVs set up in the initial model I am:
- deleting UVs
- Projecting texture using Zapplink (using photoshop)
- Creating UVs using GUV tiles
- Getting the texture from Polypaint
- Cloning texture
- Exporting texture
At this point, the texture map looks … well like this:

Which on the zapplink was a black line down the cloth (just plain and simple)
So after seeing this, I was like, okay, it’s probably because I didn’t manually set up UVs and had zbrush do it automatically that’s why it looks so messed.
Then I opened up Bunkspeed renderer, went to materials in order to set this up and on my first try it wouldn’t set the PSD file as the texture and on my second try it would not realign UVs correctly and I wouldn’t see the black line I saw in Zbrush viewport, but more like a mess i saw in that picture above.
I am wondering how do I correctly export texture and UVs into bunkspeed (without manually setting UVs up if posible, because my lowest subdivision is 1million polys)
