How to export render of my sculpting

I saw that each member of this forum has post the render JPG of his work or ZBrush interface at least one time.I know this sounds silly but I am newbie in ZBrush so, how can i do that ? How can I export my ZBrush rendered images (JPG) to desktop or here ?

Thanks.

you could hit the “print screen” / “prt scr” key, then paste / “ctrl v” the image into photoshop or ms paint.

This is called a screen cap and most of the images around her were had in that fashion.

Document/export, choose JPEG, also make sure you see the extension in the file name box, change it from .psd to .jpg.
if you cannot see the extension goto your start menu, control panel, open folder options, click View, then uncheck the box next to “hide extensions for known file types”, return to zbrush and try to export the Document again. Also don’t forget to do a Best Render if that’s what you like.

Thanks, I done all that you said (StartMenu/ControlPanel/FolderOptions/View/Uncheck box next to “hide extensions for known file types”) but nothing happend. I still have just BMP, TIF and PSD formats. I dont know how to get JPEG format
Any idea what’s wrong?:frowning:

oops i just realised you can’t export jpeg from zbrush, weird, i guess you’ll have to convert it, i know mspaint will open .bmp files and you can save as jpg.
sorry about that, i never export jpg or even try cause i always go into photoshop.

No problem;), I guess that I’ll have to export my renders to Photoshop as psd or bmp file and then export out pf Photoshop as jpeg. It’s weird that ZBRUSH can’t export rendered images as jpeg files.

i think its because they don’t want you to be able to export compressed images ala low quality, i do understand the philosophy behind it even if it occasionally makes life harder, what would help is if the forum accepted the image formats that zbrush exports.

Yes, it is due to artifacting. With Photoshop, you can look at previews of your JPG conversion with various quality settings to find that nice balance between file size and image quality. So ZBrush exports the uncompressed image, and from there you can butcher it however you need to.

OK, I understand that, but is there any chance I can post my “work in progress” pics from ZBRUSH without of using PHOTOSHOP ?

Thanks

okay maybe you don’t have photoshop, but most copies of windows have MSpaint, if its all too much trouble i don’t understand why you’re zbrushing. anyway, besides photoshop, mspaint, print screen as someone mentioned, you can upload your pictures to a site like Photobucket or somethign similar then use the image links in your zbrush post.

Actually, no. You should not link from ZBC to images that are posted someplace else. Eventually those images will no longer be available, and the post will end up being broken because of broken images. You should always upload images to ZBC directly.

But yes, Windows has a built-in image editor that you can use to convert a BMP from ZBrush to a JPG for upload to ZBC. So if you don’t have Photoshop you’re certainly not out of luck.
