How to export my .OBJ WITH its Materials / Textures

Title says it all. I am trying to export an .OBJ with everything on it to 3Ds Max. I’ve tried exporting the casual way and it and its white. What do?

Bump

I hate when people post get loads of views and no responses, I am a Zbrush newbie but i will try to help. From my understanding, you have to make sure the obj is first uv mapped.

if you export an obj that is not uv mapped, it will simply transfer the obj without the texture.

select the subtool u wish to export, go to ur uv master and click ‘work on clone’ this will load the subtool in a seperat window, in ur uvmaster click ‘unwrap’, you will see zbrush work away, with a progress bar at the top. One it has unwrapped click ‘copy uv’s’.

return to ur subtool which has ur texture select it and in uv master click 'paste uv’s, if you now export your subtool as an obj, it should take the polypainted texture with it. I am a newbie too, so thismay not be the best or most accurate way, but this is the process i follow.

Thank you for your responce, it worked out great! :+1: Being a newbie sucks, so I really appreciate your process you use.
