I’m having a miserable time trying to get a good displacement map for my model. I’ve selected 32 bit but it exports as a tif and when I apply it in maya using mental ray and an approximation node it just smooths out the model without holding any detail. I’ve also tried creating a DM in topogun and it creates weird highlights around the edge of every polygon.
I would like to try and export the 32 bit exr since that is what digital tutors highly recommends in their displacement training program. The thing is, I don’t see any option for this as an export for displacement from Zbrush even though I thought it was supposed to be in here somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.
