You can create either. Please read the Mac documentation, found in my signature. Many users have reported issues with the maps, however. This is being fixed in the next update.
Load your object into the PC version.
There’s some commentary on my blog about alternatives. Most involve moving the object to a PC and using tools like ZB 3.10 PC or xNormal.
You can also try the method described here: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showpost.php?p=540166&postcount=187
It does seem to work in may cases, but can be tricky.

Can´t seem to find the multidisplacement plugin.

MD3 and Displacement Exporter are not currently available for the Mac. Which is why the PDF I pointed you to doesn’t mention them.
Is there any type of ETA on when mac users might expect the 3.5 update that will allow for proper normal maps, and movie exports? I saw something that said Q4 2008, but that was obviously not the case. Any info would be appreciated.
We all can’t. Hence my comments.
Your only tool in ZB 3.12 is the Create Disp Map button on the Displacement subpallet of your Tool pallet. It has . . . um . . . issues . . . (see other threads)
Despite significant evidence to the contrary, Pixologic will tell you “it works for some users . . .” Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones. (In which case, can I ask you to buy a lottery ticket for me. :D)
