How to export different objects at same time

Thread title might not be very clear but I don’t know how to formulate it.

So,

I have a character that has shoes, pants etc…
When i export in obj format and import in zbrush it becomes one single object.

How can i make it so that Zbrush recognizes each elements like in max. Meaning that the pants, the body, the shoes, are 3 different objects.

Thank you

you need to export out each piece 1 at a time inside of Max.
you can import multiple objects at once with subtool master once you’re inside of Zbrush though. You can also export them out all at once.

Max doesn’t have an importer or exporter to handle that…it used to, but it doesn’t anymore.

You can also break the object inside of Zbrush (careful though, this will cause problems with the point order if you need to maintain that).
tool>polygroups>autogroups
tool>subtool>groupsplit
That will break every element into it’s own subtool.
If you need more control look into how polygroups work and you should be able to go from there.
