How to export a document with transparent background?

Dear Zbrush users,

I have created a 2,5D illustration (see attached screenshot). Now I need to export the document as png image but I don’t want any colour on the background because I want to use this image as level for composition on external program like photoshop. If I click on document–>export the result is a png image with background color from black to white. How can I export with transparent background and only the mesh 3d ?

Thank you for your help!
Regards
Massimo

2.5D, You should have had a solid background color :frowning:
If you can change your background color and remodel it(and stay in Edit mode), you could render the various BPR passes.
I hope that helps.

Unfortunately ZBrush does not support transparency in PNG files.

If you press Render>Flat you’ll get an image without the shading which you can then export and use in Photoshop or a similar image editor to select and remove the background from your original image.

Dear Doug and Marcus,

thank you for your very fast reply to my problem! I will follow your suggestion.
I hope in the implementation of transparent background while in 2,5D mode for the future.
Thank you!
Best regards
Massimo
