How to detach/divide Zsphere chain

Hy everybody!

I saw in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA4U4K88nxk

that he make a Zsphere chain and after simply cut off the end of it to use. The way like this he multiple the zsphere chains in one subtool. How is he doing this:qu:

I couldn’t find the answer anywhere.

Please help!

classic skinning and gravity spheres. he’s also using 3.1 for that video.

I’m using Zbrush 3.5. Is it a problem?

Sorry, maybe I’m a noob but don’t really understand what should I use to multiple those chains of Zsphere.

Thanks

if you do a search on gravity spheres and adaptive skinning using the classic method you’ll find what you need.

in draw, alt+lmb on a chain to turn the end sphere into a gravity sphere.
to turn on classic skinning tool>adaptive skin>use classic skinning

Thanks, thanks, thanks a lot!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D

… and i always thought they are called magnet Spheres

hmm…that still doesn’t explain why they pull stronger the farther they are from the mesh…seems kinda backwards to me, but eh, easier to work with I suppose. They should just call them control spheres.
