How to cut a wedge into a cone

Hello,

I would like to create a flat-topped cone, and I would like to cut a wedge into the base, going about half-way up. Moreover, I need to be able to govern the size of the wedge (the arc). The Initialize panel for the Sphereinder would allow me to restrict the range to, say, 310 rather than 360 degrees, which would produce the wedge. But I wouldn’t be able to taper the sphereinder evenly. The Initialize panel for the Cylinder allows me to taper the cylinder to a cone. But I can’t restrict the range to create the wedge. I expect the rectangular clip brush would cut a wedge, but I don’t see how I would regulate the arc. Is there a way to do this?
