How to combine two objects into one mesh.

I want to combine two models into one mesh. the first object is roughly from the waist up the second is from the waist down. Is there an easy way to merge these two models together so that they become one mesh. Once they are merged I would have to sculpt a little so that they feel like they are part of the same creature.

I have combined them together in Zbrush (Two subtools into one) but it appears they don’t actually merge or Boolean.

I do know Maya but the process to combine these two object would be very time consuming as I would have to manually stitch it all together.

Any solutions to this are welcome.

You can merge the two into a single subtool (as you did). Then create a unified mesh and project that down. Then do a little bit of clean up.

You can also retopo the two meshes together if poly flow is important.

Thanks for responding. Can you explain a little more about the processes:
“create a unified mesh and project that down”
and
“retopo the two meshes together”

Tool>unified mesh.

Retool is more in depth. YouTube and vimeo have tons of tutorials as well as the wiki.
