how to clean a line? - goofed up my model

I somehow created a thin line horizontally across my entire head model while I was sculpting masking/hiding etc. (no textures yet)

My question is, is there a way to clone detail from one part of the mesh to another?

I dropped it to projection master rgb off and used the clone brush with zadd, but it bumps the mesh out when i clone and of course zsub bumps it in when i clone.

For now I guess I will just smooth out the line and rework that area, but its going to be hard to match the details I had before and I’m worried I’ll have a “break” in that area.

Thanks for any help

Mask the good area. Then go to
Tool>deformations>smart resym

That should do the trick. Most of the time it works best to do this at every subD level, starting at thw lowest and smart resym every level

i should have posted a pic so you would know what im talking about. actually its a horizontal line on a biped character so resymming isn’t going to clean up the line (line runs across the chin horizontally)

I was just hoping i was missing some cool tool that allowed you to clone geometry from one part of the mesh to another (or how to ge the clone tool to work without bumping the mesh)

Could you show what’s happening?
